VIDEO: YSL Mon Paris

Yves Saint Laurent’s new Mon Paris perfume is sexy-cool, but we’re currently fan-girling over the ad’s soundtrack too.

Perfume ads often tell a love story: a tale of seduction or courtship or sex. But not all of them do it with a killer, Canadian soundtrack. Enter YSL Mon Paris.

The video for the new perfume from the famous French brand features a women (also a Canadian, btw, model Crista Cober), impeccably dressed in a suit, running around Paris with her love (who is quite handsome himself). All to a banging cover of U2’s Love is Blindness.

The singer? Lee-la Baum, lead singer, of The Damn Truth. The band is from Montreal and its Baum is already drawing comparison to Janis Joplin. Recently, the band also made its first trip to music festival, Osheaga.

Take a look (and listen) to the video and let us know what you think! And stay tuned, because we have some opinion coming on the scent as well.
