Introducing #MACshadescents
Rejoice! Inspired by the glamour of the perfect lipstick shade, M.A.C Cosmetics returns to the perfume market with #MACshadescents.
M.A.C Cosmetics has long held a special place in our perfume-loving hearts because if their cocoa-vanilla-scented lip products. But now the brand has really embraced fragrance by launching actual perfumes. Meet, #MACshadescents.
The brand is releasing six new perfumes inspired by 6 iconic MAC shades—Lady Danger, Ruby Woo, My Heroine, Candy Yum-Yum, Velvet Teddy and Crème d’Nude. MAC aficionados remember that the brand has dipped into the fragrance market before—with Turquatic and Air of Style in the mid-oughts.
Here’s what we know about each of the new six scents:
Lady Danger – Wild cherry notes inspired by a bright orange-red lippy.
Ruby Woo – The famous lipstick—the perfect red some might say—gets a fragrance with leather notes.
My Heroine – This purple shade from a Lorde X MAC collaboration inspired a scent of saffron and incense.
Candy Yum-Yum – A bright, hot pink colour translates into fruit and cotton candy.
Velvet Teddy – A creamy, pinky nude is turned into a scent with wild honey and musk.
Crème d’Nude – A light, neutral nude “evokes the vibrant sexiness of naked skin,” according to the press release.
#MACshadescents will be available at the end of November and retail for $57 (50 ml), www.maccosmetics.ca
