Calvin Klein launches Eternity Now perfumes
Tobias Sorensen and Victoria’s Secret model Jasmine Tookes are the sexy couple muse for Calvin Klein Eternity Now spritzes
By Alexandra Donaldson
On a cool August morning in Toronto, models—and real-life couple—Tobias Sorenen and Jasmine Tookes were in town to launch a new pair of fragrances from Calvin Klein: Eternity Now for him and her. The photogenic duo chatted over coffee and eggs benedict about how they met and their excitement about the campaign with an ease that comes with having your partner at your side.
Looking impossibly perfect (her in a blush shift dress and him in a crisp button-down), they joked about how they met in a nightclub (she initially gave him a wrong number, but changed her mind before he left for the night), and how rolling around in bed for the cameras with your real-life love beats faking it with a stranger.
The pair are captured in the latest commercial for the new scent: We watch them wander NYC, hang out in a gorgeous apartment and roll around in bed to a thumping cover of “Never Tear Us Apart” by INXS. There are small snapshots of love in the film—holding hands, intimate carresses, playing around. Sorensen and Tookes’ affection looks natural, easy, intimate, beautiful and is meant to distill the spirit of what the Eternity Now spritzes are all about.
The lovers: Tobias Sorensen and Jasmine Tookes
Although Sorensen and Tookes cite Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss as their historic Calvin Klein highlights, they follow in the footsteps of another CK couple—Christy Turlington (who was the first face of Calvin Klein Eternity in 1988) and Ed Burns. Turlington and Burns appeared in the Calvin Klein Eternity Ads together in 2014 after having been married for 11 years.
Aside from joining the Calvin Klein Eternity family, Tookes also became a Victoria’s Secret Angel this year.
The Calvin Klein Eternity Now campaign
Calvin Klein Eternity Now, for him and her: the fragrance notes
Eternity Now for women is a bright floral fragrance—notes of nectarine, lychee and sorbet open the perfume with a fresh burst, while a heart of peony and peach blossom lend it romance. The basenotes—cashmere, musk, ambrox—deliver a warm, comforting essence.
The men’s scent is a oriental fougere with ginger, star anise, cedar wood, patchouli and tonka bean combined to create a warm masculine essence that is both spicy and fresh. Touches of coconut water and Madagascar vanilla add an unexpected softness that complements the woman’s edition—or would indeed complement a woman who decided to wear this more masculine scent.
