Princess Night

Vera Wang is a clever perfume mixologist. Her latest Princess Night perfume takes the stage for summertime cocktail hour. Its mix, an all-ages cocktail of orange blossom, jasmine and rose with wild berries, watermelon and raspberry, along with crushed sugar, wood and musk, suits a young, micro-miniskirt-wearing crowd.

The toilette’s heart-shaped flacon is likewise suited to an evening out given its flashy top-to-bottom purplish-black glitter and crown-shaped, crystal-studded cap.

Princess Night is the latest in Vera Wang’s Princess Collection, the first of which—Princess—was launched in 2006; then along came Flower Princess, Glam Princess and Rock Princess. In 2010, Preppy Princess debuted, all playful pink and periwinkle plaid—the campaign likewise featured TV princess Leighton Meester: prep, energy and youthful sass personified.

Princess Night aims deeper, richer and darker than the original Princess with the addition of woody notes, although both rely on fruit, floral and vanilla for definition.
