The fragrance of pumpkin in the fall

30 DAYS OF FALL FRAGRANCE: PUMPKIN

Autumn brings with it the harvest, Halloween and Thanksgiving. And with that, pumpkin.

We crave it this time of year. In a freshly baked pie spiked with cinnamon and nutmeg and a dollop of whipped cream on top, or roasted with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of ground pepper and sage.

Of course, many new converts come to pumpkin via the great pumpkin patch known as Starbucks, with its limited-time-offer pumpkin loaf, and its Pumpkin Spiced Latte – PSL now for those who find voicing those three words simply too taxing.

No matter how you like it, savour it. Roasted, it’s a quintessential fragrance of the season. And that colour;  you can’t get any more of-the-autumn-moment than orange.

Now, when she indulges in a crazy-expensive bottle of fragrance, she can do so guilt-free. Well almost. It’s all in the name of research after all.
