Jessica Simpson empire set to bring $1-billion in sales

By Deborah Fulsang

It’s been six years since singer and reality TV star Jessica Simpson launched her first fragrance. And quick on the heels of her upcoming nuptials this weekend to Eric Johnson, the father of her two children, she is set to introduce another scent. It’s just one product in a 32-category, Jessica Simpson empire, reports Women’s Wear Daily. And that empire is estimated to bring in $1-billion in sales this year with the help of this new perfume, what WWD describes as “an amalgam of citrus, clementine, nectarine, pomegranate and apricot in the opening notes; frangipani, night-blooming jasmine, orange flower and tiger lily in the middle notes, and white chocolate vanilla bean, sandalwood, tonka bean and driftwood in the base notes.”
