Thierry Mugler’s Aqua Chic Angel, Alien

Thierry Mugler’s Aqua Chic Angel, Alien

Thierry Mugler’s Angel, that gourmand perfume with its establishment-rocking mix of floral-candy-chocolate-patchouli notes, broke the perfumer’s mold 20 years ago. This spring, the brand delivers a limited-edition offering with the gist of the juice but in a light, warm-weather kind of way.

Angel, as well as Mugler’s Alien fragrance, are part of a new Aqua Chic collection. In the lab, the chemists added a fresh accord to the original perfume formulas. Each was also were mixed with 30 percent floral or plant water, which was derived from distilling some of the respective perfume’s raw ingredients.

The result?

For Angel, a sprightly sweet-almost-chemical veil defines the floral-oriental (but in a good way!). For Alien, a ginger-verbena-freesia essence fuses with a sexy, amber-woody base. Fresh and quite fab.
