Fragrance-loving techies unite. Ten-year old perfume house, Bond No. 9,…
O, Christmas Tree
Maybe you have a chic designer tree clad with carefully placed baubles and trinkets in a different colour scheme every year (you’re opting for fuchsia and silver in 2012), or perhaps you’re a new-ornament-every-year-kind-of-tree person. You love a big fat tree, or maybe it’s a small Charlie Brown variety that you can’t live without. Maybe you struggle between the choice of fir, pine, cedar, or spruce every year, but, simply put, it’s the Christmas tree’s iconic green fragrance that you adore.
It’s the smell of winter and holidays and family.
If you don’t get your tree ’til later in December—or you’re not a fan of the Christmas-tree-induced mess and prefer your tree faux-from-a-box—look no further. You can fake it.
Demeter captures the nostalgia perfectly with Christmas Tree. The fragrance—get it in a cologne spray, diffuser oil or atmosphere spray for your home—reminds those of us who celebrate the season of late-night Christmas Eves, family gatherings, wrapping paper ripping and early Christmas Mornings gathered around a twinkling evergreen.
Christmas obsessives could also relish in the evergreen scent of the season all year long if they were so inclined. After all, what’s Christmas without the tree? Even Charlie Brown appreciated that.
