Sustainable fragrance from Chopard

Chopard re-enters the fragrance world with four sustainable perfumes.

Swiss luxury jewellery brand Chopard has partnered with the Cannes film festival for 20 years, supplying the biggest stars with jewels to wear down the coveted Cannes red carpet. Which is why last week at the acclaimed film festival the brand announced plans for sustainable perfume, as we learned from WWD. The brand has been a partner of Eco-Age, a sustainability consulting firm founded by Livia Firth.

The four new fragrances (part of the Haute Parfumerie collection) are each named after a specific featured ingredient: Vetiver, Vanille, Magnolia, Neroli. Each star ingredient was chosen as the fair-trade heart of each fragrance, and developed in collaboration with Alberto Morillas and Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich.

Vétiver d’Haiti au Thé Vert: “Built around purest Vetiver sourced from sustainable farming, this fragrance combines warm green tea notes that provide a comforting, yet invigorating scent that fires the imagination.”

Magnolia Parfumée au Vétiver d’Haiti: “The entrancing floral scent of Magnolia is blended with delicate Vetiver from Haiti to create a fragrance that expresses a surprising complexity.”

Néroli a la Cardamome du Guatemala: “The citric freshness of Neroli is contrasted with a heart of spicy Cardamom, awakening the senses in a delicate game of sensual contrasts.”

Vanille de Madagascar: “At the heart of this fragrance the purest Vanilla from Madagascar evokes notes of chocolate, bourbon and caramel, producing an exhilaratingly hypnotic sensation.”

We can’t wait to smell these new sustainable sourced fragrances.
