Emilia Clarke is the new face of Dolce & Gabbana The One

Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke joins Dolce & Gabbana as the face of The One fragrance.

There must be something in the water over at the Game of Thrones set. Emilia Clarke (aka Daenerys Targaryen) joins her co-star Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow) as the latest addition to the Dolce & Gabbana fragrance family.

The campaign

Clarke will launch the new eau de toilette in September 2017, with an ad campaign to match. “Emilia Clarke embodies perfectly the Dolce & Gabbana woman: she is radiant and lively,” say Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. “Her personality and natural beauty will capture the essence of this new campaign: joyful, spontaneous and full of life.”

Clarke is following in the footsteps of Scarlett Johansson and Gisele Bundchen, the previous faces of the brand. We expect to see a far more glamorous version of the star than we’re used to. Though, of course, the Johansson ads had a bit of cheek to them too. A touch of Marilyn Monroe celebrity and mystique. We’ll have to see if Clarke will continue with the theme. Though, we’re certain that the red carpet pro can pull off the new campaign. We expect something sultry and sensual, in keeping in line with the brand’s identity.

The original scent

The original perfume was released in 2006 and included notes of vanilla, citrus, peach, plum, litchi, white florals. The fruity-floral-oriental scent proved incredibly popular with consumers. We’ve seen a few variations on the theme over the years, but 2017 marks the release of The One Eau de Toilette.

The One Eau de Toilette is set to show off the main ingredient, lily, with added freshness. The scent is still very femme, one that will satisfy The One lovers we’re told.
