Perfume launches in May 2016
What perfume launches are we excited about this May? Elegant femininity, a limited edition spring spritz and a favourite brand goes travel size.
This month has greeted us with unseasonably cold temperatures, but we’re hopeful that warmer weather, longer days and brighter outlooks are ahead. It’s May after all, right? The month with the first long weekend of summer?
On that note, here are new perfumes to kick off your spring and summer season—no matter what the thermometre says:
Bask in a summer garden with Jo Malone London Nashi Blossom Cologne
This limited-edition cologne defines summer: Notes of bright citrus, fresh flowers and soft white musk. “This blossom scent is particularly juicy, joyful and radiant. At the same time it’s elegant, sophisticated,” says master perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin.
We think it’s also playful and crisp, and well suited to wearing as one heads to a park or patio on a gorgeous day or to enjoy an adventures on a sunshine-warmed Saturday afternoon.

Travel the world with Diptyque Les Voyages
For this month and next, you can shop the world with Diptyque. The brand’s Les Voyages Collection—available in eau de toilette, body lotion, balm, face mist and candle format—are inspired by the travels of Diptyque’s founders.
Not only are these scents inspired by travel—the new twist is that they’re also made for travel. Shop the familiar toilettes in travel size (30 ml) and let them inspire your own voyages.
The toilettes offered in travel size: Do Son (tuberose and berries), L’ombre dans L’eau (a walk in an English garden), Philosykos (an ode to the fig tree), Tam Dao (sandalwood, cedar and spice recall Asia) and Florabellio (apple blossom and toasted sesame).
$89 (30 ml) each, www.holtrenfrew.com
Pretty with punch via Valentino Donna
The powdery, floral perfume trend continues with Valentino Donna. Notes of bergamot, iris, rose, vanilla, leather and patchouli might have you thinking this scent is better suited to cooler weather. And while we would definitely spraying this on some cashmere and merino come December, for now, wear it with pretty, minimalist sundresses and pink gloss. Or take your spritzing cue from our Instagram feed and layer it with a sweet citrus scent for a perfume cocktail all your own.
$175 (100 ml), www.nordstrom.com
