Dolce&Gabbana_DolceRosaExcelsa_2016Dolce & Gabbana’s latest fragrance film for its Dolce Rosa Excelsa perfume stars a group of sexy young Italian men and the iconic Sophia Loren, and was crafted by composer Ennio Morricone and director Giuseppe Tornatore. Yes, you need to watch.

About the film

Eightsomething-year-old screen icon Sophia Loren is determined to makeover a crumbling mansion with the help of her five sons. Getting to work, they restore the estate, with a little Morricone music as backdrop of course, and a couple laughs here and there. Once completed, the family hosts a party, where the stunning Kate King catches the eye of one of the sons, who presents her with a rose. The dew of the rose drips and King catches the essence and dabs it on her neck. The bottle and the film are here to remind you that this scent has rose in it. It’s all very sexy and suggestive.

But the film is primarily about Sophia Loren—and that old-school Italian glamour she embodies—and so King gives the rose to her. Perhaps this was a love story between women of different generations? Whatever the case it’s a cheeky film to accompany the pink eau. Who wouldn’t want to live on the Italian countryside with Sophia Loren anyway? Or her sons for that matter.
